I opened up the iMac, and took off all of the covers and stripped down all the Mac parts i could, but still the problem was the lacking of non-universal power and Mr. Conners's perpetual fear of monitor failure. There is no hope for being able to use the same monitor. The main problem is Mac's desire to not let their computer's be customizible. Nothing is standardized, and the power supply is impossible to rerout, as it uses hard wired conection, not movable ones.

However, there is hope to salvage the computer. I now plan to put PC hardware in the empty iMac case. I will then wait until I can find a LCD screen at the dump that will fit in the iMac screen slot. Then i will have a PC->iMac project done in at least one way.
