Report #2 after installed more RAM
2. What was the computer?
The Computer was a Pentium III with 128mb of fried RAM. Also, it had a broken Video Card and a broken Network Card. I had a 40 gig hard drive, a CD burner, and a DVD-ROM drive that worked, and a graphics output from the motherboard. It had Windows 98 as its OS. It also had a good power supply and a good motherboard. It also had a floppy drive.
3. What have you done to improve it?
I replaced the RAM, so that it now has almost 500mb of good, working RAM. The network card is replaced and working, and it now has Windows XP as its OS.
4. What else can you do to the computer?
I can add a new video card to the computer and maybe replace one of the older RAM sticks with a newer one. Maybe also install a fan. I can also if i wanted to put in a DVD burner, a TV tuner, and luquid cooling, but that would work better with my new computer.
5. If you had money, how would you spend it?
I would get a decent Video Card, a WiFi card, more good RAM, and a DVD combo drive(meaing it could burn too). I would also get a better CDRW burner. I would also buy some more RAM.
6. What is the best you can make this computer be?
This computer can't use any new graphics cards, as it only has an AGP slot, not PCI express. Also, you can't install new RAM, as it has a different PIN count. Also, the Pentium III can only use so much RAM, and 500mb is close to its limit. However, RAM can always be usefull.
